When I think back a few years to the romantic love ballad songs that were sung by some of the older crooners, it brings back great memories. I find that quite a bit of the music today lacks in the ability to create the love ballad moods from years back. As with everything else times change and so do the tastes of the people living in them. Now days the music seems louder and more upbeat which suits it more to rock ballads or monster ballads comparisons. It seems like every decade of people picks up on some kind of beat that they can identify with and call their own for a few years. Of course this sits right on the youth and young adult age group of people who define what is popular for their growing up years. A love ballad tale is told with more honest and blatant statements than what it used to be.Used to be a love ballad would give you a general image of a sad and broken hearted lover where as now great detail describes exactly what happened to the relationship. As new bands, such as Air Raid Anthem, come onto the music scene it is likely that they will eventually produce some version of a love ballad or possibly rock ballads that will go on the help define this decade's music taste.
